Default using * in a where condition

I am trying to use a select statement with a "Like" in my WHERE condition. The where condition says "WHERE table.myfield Like &#039*dog*&#039)
When I use the * I get nothing out of the recordsset.
I pasted this query straight from MSAccess so I know it should yield data. I don&#039t get an error, I just get an empty recordset.
HELP ?

Default Use % as wild card char.

    Hi Camelman,

you try "%" wild card char instead of "*" . It will work out in SQL server also. I have tested it in SQL Server and "%" is working.
