Default Saving web pages on the fly

    Hi,

I am trying to open a web page (a "http://..." link) within my ASP codes and save it as a file (.html or .txt format) so that I may parse it.

The FileSystemObject can only handle files within the server itself. It cannot search for files outside the server and open them, not to mention the handling of a file with a name start with "http://".

Is there a way in ASP or other web development languages that can handle the openning and saving of a web page, on a Windows NT or 2000 platform?

Thanks.
Jack

ASPTear is a free product which will help you. There is a tutorial on the 4guys site... do a search for it.
