Most people will tell you that is not recommended (Your database will grow to a massive size in no tme) just use ASPUpload to save the files to a folder on your server the save the file path to the database.

I love ASPUpload I use in in a lot a web applications but I would never save images and text files to a database.
I am trying to create a moderated online journal in which registered users can submit articles via the website. I want to save the articles on the server by volume/issue in a directory structure like /vol5_iss3/art1/articlename.html. I am using ASPUpload. How can I automatically create this directory structure on the fly and keep ASPUpload pointed to the proper directory? I am currently saving the filename and abstract in the database for retrieval.
