Default AutoNum ID of inserted record

I know I have seen the answer to this before but now I can&#039t find it....If I have an access table with various fields and an AutoNumber field used as the primary key. How can I get the AutoNumber of a record that was just inserted. For example, an SQL INSERT is executed and that creates a new record. Immediately after that, I want to set that new record&#039s "ID" as a variable to pass to the next page. The database may have duplicate values so I can&#039t really just do a SELECT ID WHERE the values are whatever was inserted. Any suggestions? Thanks!

~no_mac_jack
