Default Exception error has me stumped

    Hello all,

When I execute the line of code:

While cstr(suite) = cstr(rs("suite#"))

Where “suite#” is treated as a string.

I get

error &#039 80020009&#039
Exception occurred.

I tried to use cint() but I have suite numbers with numeric values that are higher than the 32,767 that the cint() can handle.

If I use the cdbl() then I get the same error as with the cstr().

Int() doesn’t work.
Cdouble() doesn’t work.

I’ve reached the end of my rope of knowledge.

Thanks for any help that you all can provide.

Jessica

    How about writing out the values just before the WHILE?

Response.Write "[" & suite & "] [" & RS("suite#") & "]<BR>" & vbNewLine

I&#039ve got a sneaking suspicion that it doesn&#039t like RS("suite#"), but let&#039s find out.
