Default Un-editable text boxes

    I want to pull info out of a database and into a text box. On some occasions the user will be able to edit the info in the text box and other times, depending on who they are or what template is chosen, they should be only able to see the info and not change it. How do you make a text box un-editable? Apart from preventing the user changing it I would lik to grey it out so that they know it is un-editable. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

    You can do this client side in VBscript by the following

textbox.disabled =true
I&#039m not sure of the Javascript but assume it would be similar.
