    What is the most secure way for connecting to Database from asp page?<BR><BR>I have something like this<BR><BR>Set cn = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")<BR>cn.Open "Provider=SQLOLEDB;SERVER=OCTtest;DATABASE=LIBRARY ;uid=sa;pwd=icar"<BR><BR>is this secure or should I use ODBC? or any other way. Will all this work with SSL page(page that has ssl certificate) <BR><BR>Thanx in Advance

    Unless you&#039re planning on "encapsulating" (creating an activeX Dll) your connection string, I would use a system DSN. ASP has had past problems where source-code could be viewed... if people know your database name, location, userid and password, well, it wouldn&#039t be a good thing.<BR><BR>SSL just encrypts the information from the server to a visitor&#039s computer (creating a secure channel).... no problem with it.
