Default DB connection

    Hi All - please help! I am trying to view my asp page but I keep getting the following error. The page works in PWS but not in IIS. I have checked the permissions. There could be a very simple solution but I am new to this so please pardon my ignorance...thanks!

<---CODE---->
openstr = "driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};" & _
"dbq=" & Server.MapPath("file.mdb")
Set cn = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")
cn.Open openstr

<---ERROR--->
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error &#039 80004005&#039

[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Disk or network error.

/dbtest/players.asp, line 10
ps. I also tried using a DSN connection but I got a different error. (I already set up the ODBC source and the db connection to the ODBC). Any suggestions???? thanks.

<---ERROR---->
Server error: Unable to retrieve the list of record sources from a database using the connection string:

DSN=SamdbDSN;DRIVER={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)}.

The following error message comes from the database driver software; it may appear in a different language depending on how the driver is configured.
-------------------------------------------------------

Source: ADO
Number: -2146824584 (0x800a0e78)
Hi, dont know whether this will help, but if your permissions are okay, I usually set up a Session Connection String in my global.asa, and the below stuff always works fine with Access.

Dim sDbPath
Dim sConnString

&#039ISP Access Database Path...
sDbPath = Server.MapPath("\") & "DatabaseMkt7.mdb"

&#039PWS Access Database Path...
sDbPath = Server.MapPath("\") & "virthomedirDatabaseMkt7.mdb"

&#039Access Database Connection String...
sConnString = "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=" & sDbPath & ";Jet OLEDB:Database"

Good Luck
Jon
