What I want to do is to take the users input from a text field. something like "battry broken" and search all records for the two key word battry and broken. Can I split up the textfield information. can it be put into an array?? any ideas....

You could use the SPLIT() function to split apart the query, and then append the resulting array values (words) into a query (e.g. select * from parts where description like &#039*" & words(0) & "*&#039 or description like &#039*" & words(1) & "*&#039 [etc.])<BR><BR>Be aware, however, that a floating search like this will take some time. If you are using SQL Server, you may want to look into full-text indexing (but then you run into the 9-simultaneous user limitation).
