We&#039re in a website-development situation that&#039s a bit unusual. We&#039re in a cross-platform office, and so far we&#039ve been using Dreamweaver and it&#039s built-in check-in, check-out file locking tool. Dreamweaver turns out to be the best way to do this in a hybrid Mac/PC environment, we decided.

However, now that we&#039re moving to the ASP development, rather than just HTML and graphics, we&#039re planning to pull in people who have experience using Visual Interdev and Visual SourceSafe to control file-locking.

Are these two methods of file-locking compatible at all? Is there another option we can use to satisfy both parties -- Mac designers and Microsoft coders? Any insight would be appreciated.

- Marty
