Default RowCount?

    Is is possible to define the number of rows in a file, like defining the number of records with &#039RecordCount&#039?

    records = rows, so I am not sure what you are asking.

Are you asking if you can limit the number of records in a database, such that a user could not enter more than &#039x&#039 records?

    Are you trying to count the number of lines that are in an existing file?

If so, then you could try the following:-
<%
dim sysFile, txtFile, intLineCount

intLineCount=0
set sysFile=CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
set txtFile=sysFile.OpentextFile("C: ony.ace",1,0)
do
txtFile.ReadLine
intLineCount=intLineCount+1
loop until txtFile.AtEndOfStream
txtFile.Close
%>
There are <% =intLineCount %> rows in your file.....
