Default What is happening between these two steps?

Retrieving data from SQL 7 and assigning the result set to RS.<BR>Before it writes the data to the web, there is a elapse time of about 2 min. Would like to know what is ASP doing during this time?? Is there always a time gap betwen these??

How big is ur table and how many unions or joins you must have used in the table also affects the performance. Run the same query in the Query ananlyser and see.

Thanks for the reply. My sql queries are complex and they take around 2 min....and they return small number of rows...around 120....The interesting fact is that it takes equal amount of time to display that data to the browser. I do not understand as to why it takes so long to display back. ( and also it takes almost same amount of time as sql does.) Any insight is appreciated.
