I will use it on a Stored procedure to get last added record inside this procedure. Eg:<BR><BR>CREATE PROCEDURE [SP_NEWCART] <BR>AS<BR>BEGIN<BR>insert into cart (date_created)<BR>values (getdate())<BR>select max(cart_id) from cart<BR>END
i would think they are both the same<BR><BR>if you are going to execute an SP then the @@ <BR><BR>if it is just a select you could stick to max<BR><BR>they will both return the correct value but that is how i go about it maigh not be the right way but it works for me.
