Default font sizes in netscape and ie

What is the best way to get a consistebt font size between netscape and ie - is it using css or just plain html - are there any good tutorials online that anyone knows about. <BR>Also I have been messing about with the hover state with links and netscape just seems to ignore it ... there must be a way to get the fonts to be the same

Netscape and IE display font sizes differently mostly at the lower resolutions. There is not much you can really do about that. But if you think about it, in most applications you really don&#039t have to. Netscape users are used to way Netscape displays things. They are not doing a side by side comparison with IE everytime they visit your page. As long as it looks good it doesn&#039t have to look identical. The true goal of cross browesr testing is to make sure the navigation works and the info is accessible. If you spend too much time trying to make it look exactly the same you WILL lose your mind. I posted this link a few days ago. It might help<BR><BR>As for hover, there is no hover as far as Netscape 4.x is concerned. Netscape 6 Beta does support it.
