    Which load faster, gif&#039s or jpegs? I&#039m currently developing a site for a special affects company, and there is about 40MB of pics. So its pretty important, help!!

    neither &#039loads faster&#039. here&#039s the gen<BR><BR>GIFs are good for images with a small number of colours. since it only has a 216 colour pallette, you should only use it for images with less than 216 colours. then it will perform quite well<BR><BR>JPGs have a huge pallette, so are great at producing low-size photographic images, use them for high-color images<BR><BR>get a decent image editor like Fireworks, which actually shows you how fast an image will load in a particular format<BR><BR><BR><BR>j
