    Default Submit processes to background

I have a submit button on a form that starts an ASP page that loops through 500 email addresses and sends them a customized newsletter. This process takes a long time and it obviously locks my browser until it is completed. Can you suggest a simple method where a submit button on a web page can initiate a process that runs in the background by itself and releases the browser.<BR>
