Default SQLAllocHandle Error

I am trying to connect to an Oracle database with an asp page:
set Conn = Server.CreateObject ("ADODB.Connection")
Conn.Open "DSN=DSNname;User ID=id;Password=pw"
but I am getting this error:
"Driver&#039s SQLAllocHandle on SQL_HANDLE_ENV failed."

    Default RE: SQLAllocHandle Error

When that happens to me with a DB2 database, it means we forgot to start the "client daemon" on the ASP machine. I dunno if the Oracle driver needs such a daemon (a program that runs in the background all the time), but...

It&#039s almost surely a driver set-up issue, in any case. It means that ADO couldn&#039t find the info it needed to create a usable "handle" to your DB.
