    can someone please tell me how I can grey out(disable)a text box based on some condition.,<BR><BR>thanks,<BR>linda.

    Well,<BR><BR>I don&#039t know how to "grey" it out<BR>but to disable it, just say <BR>onFocus=this.blur();<BR><BR>or something to that effect.<BR>Grateful Dead: "Every silver lining has a touch of grey"

    It *ONLY* works on MSIE 4 and 5, but...<BR><BR>In JavaScript:<BR><BR>document.formName.controlName.d isabled = true;<BR><BR>There is no corresponding capability in older versions of MSIE *or* in any other browsers. The best you can do there is the onFocus="this.blur();" trick. It doesn&#039t "grey out" the control, but at least the user can no longer click on it.<BR><BR>
