    Default Timeout Problem

    Hi,<BR><BR>Iam running an a ASP application and one of the link updates to database table and this update is taking around 9 minutes, this statistics i found out while running on database tool(Desktop DBA). In my ASP Script iam overriding the Timeout from 90secs to 700 secs using server.scripttimeout =700, but still my browser timesout after 300 secs. Iam not sure from where it is looking at this 300secs option on IIS4.0.<BR><BR>I appreciate if any one can throw some light on this timeout problem<BR><BR>Thanks,<BR>Srinivas<BR>Please answer to following mail<BR>e-mail : gopishetty@hotmail.com

    Hi Srinivas,<BR>I hope your problem might have been solved by now but just to answer your question.<BR><BR>Is it the scriptimeout or connection timeout which is the problem?<BR><BR>If it is the connection timeout then try to increase the connection timeout value by using<BR>&#060;%<BR>Connection.commandtimeout = value<BR>%&#062;<BR>Hope this helps!<BR>
