Default Files vs Database

I have an assumption in my mind that accessing a short file is more resource friendly (and thus quicker) than accessing a database. Can anyone either confirm or disprove this?

Let&#039s say I&#039m just dealing with 1 column of data, and maybe a small predefined number of rows ( < 20 )...doesn&#039t it make more sense to just do it within a file...if I&#039m not concerned about keeping a past record?

--
Karl

    Default Test it...

Why not do a test and see? Time it over multiple opens and see which is faster.

(

Richard
