Default upload a database?

I have been working on this problem for over a week and I am totaly lost.
I need to provide an asp page where the user can upload the contents of their local database into the server database. Both databases will be indentical except for field.values.

I thought I could provide a "enctype="multipart/form-data"" form, then iteriate through each record and add it to the server database but it doesn&#039t seem to work.

Has anybody done this before? or could anybody point my in the right direction?

thanks

    Default RE: upload a database?

(GOOD) You could theoretically upload the database to a temp directory on the server, and then open it, and then read it, and then stuff the data into your central (REAL) database.

(BETTER, BUT WITH A CATCH) You could also use remote scripting (if all of your users are using IE).

(BEST) You could also resort to learning and using XML, which is the correct "fit" for this problem.
