I am curious about the advantages/disadvantages of using Variant Arrays vs Connectionless Resultsets in ASP. I am involved in a project that calls COM+ objects written in VB and those objects return data as Variant Arrays (they use the "GetRows" method in the COM+ object to extract the data). The problem is that in the ASP code they have to reference the data using "indexes" instead of the actual field names. It is also very easy to break things when new fields are added/deleted since the original index order changes. Other colleages have indicated the use of Connectionless recordsets instead of Arrays. The array people say that Arrays are much faster. I guess fast is good but maintenance issues are worst. Are arrays that much faster??<BR><BR>Thanks for the help!
