Hello, I used to open every recordset with cursor type AdOpenForwardOnly. I read that that would give me the best performance. This worked perfectly fine for several months.<BR>Recently, our site was moved to a different server, and certain scripts - that were intended to perform insert operations - would not work anymore. Sometimes the script would work, sometimes the same script would fail.<BR>The only way to get them to work, was to set the cursor type to AdOpenKeySet.<BR>My main question is: can anybody explain this behavior? Secondly, is there something that we can do on the server to avoid this? <BR>Finally, is AdOpenKeySet such a strain on performance? In other words, is it worth spending to much time on this?
