Hi,<BR><BR>I just start working with SQL-Server and wonder which the better solution<BR>for displaying data thru a recordset: views or stored procedures. Can anyone<BR>give me a hint on that?<BR><BR>Regards<BR>Thomas<BR><BR>

Stored procedures tend to be faster than views or queries because they are pre-compiled and do not have to be parsed at run time. Also you can design them for optimal benefit from indices. Views are logical tables that are re-created from the SQL whenever queried against, which is an overhead that I try to avoid.
