    Default serverside & clientside validations

What is the difference between server side & client side validations? And why do we use javascript for client side & vbscript for serverside & not vice versa?

Default RE: serverside & clientside validations

Client-side validation is performed by the user&#039s browser without any data being sent to the server - the data is only sent if the validation is successful. Server-side validation requires that the data be sent to the server and validated there with any validation errors being returned to the client, so requiring more network round-trips.<BR><BR>Javascript is normally used for client-side validation because only IE supports VBScript while many browsers support Javascript. VBScript is normally used for server-side validation because most people write their server-side code in VBScript - you can do it using Javascript if you prefer.<BR><BR>Dunc
