i have two questions hoping that someone can help:
1. I am querying a database, dealing with recordsets and storing information in a table. i was wondering if there is a way i can display a msgbox with VBScript alerting the user that the record already exists. I know that we can't display anything on the client's side using server-side scripting and that all ASP is parsed COMPLETELY BEFORE the user gets the HTML, but i was just wondering what is the best way of taking care of this.

2. i have an asp page that is calling an asp script when you press a button. this script is simply massaging the information received and then it calls a new asp page with the redirect method. new page explodes because parameters have not been sent to display it. how can i pass variables when redirecting?

Thanks,

Jose A.
