Default "capturing a url to post to the next page.

The scenario is. Text files called into a table and turned into a hyperlink. Operator clicks on a link (new window opens) goes to the site gathers information, closes the window and comes back to the same page and table. I now want them to goto the input page to permanently store the url and any relevant info in the DB. I don&#039t want them to type the url I want to pass it to the next page so there is no mistake on typing.

How can I pick up the last url they returned from? I have a submit button at the bottom to carry the hidden fields but what is it that I can capture. I have tried everything I can think of but know little of how browsers treat these things. Any ideas code suggestions..getting desperate

alan
