    Default Cookie Question

Is it possible for me to write a cookie to a client&#039s hard drive with one server and read it using another? Basically, I&#039m trying to find a way to share a value between two web pages on two different servers and I thought cookies might work. Am I mistaken?

Yes you can do this, but the two servers must be within the same domain ( and for example). Cookies store the computer/domain to prevent other computers from getting cookies that are not theirs. The browser checks to make sure the computer/domain that its sending the cookie to is the same that wrote the cookie in the first place.<BR><BR>You can use addheader to add create the set-cookie header to implictly state the broad domain (, otherwise the cookie gets written for the implicit machine (<BR><BR>For more info:<BR><BR><BR><BR>
