Default Clearing Querystring values on reload?

I have a page which does updates to a dictionary object based on a case statement which reads a value from a querystring. My problem is that when I hit reload on the browser it repasses my querystring variables back to the page. Which then adds them to a value i allready have. What i need to is clear the querystring on reload somehow. Any suggestion?
Thanks
Rick
