I&#039m trying to get the header of a web page from ASP. I have the complete http:// string (for instance http://www.aspmessageboard.com/forum/Advanced.asp) so I use asp-code like this:

dim inet, TempString, s

Set inet = CreateObject("InetCtls.Inet")
inet.AccessType = icNamedProxy
inet.Proxy = "http://MyProxy:80"
inet.Protocol = icHTTP
inet.RequestTimeOut = 2
inet.Url = "<my html page>"
s = inet.openUrl
TempString = inet.GetHeader()
document.write s

set inet = nothing
s = ""
TempString = ""

The problem is that the page does not load, let&#039s the IIS crash, provides an error (still executing) EVEN AFTER A REBOOT!

What am I doing wrong????

I&#039m using NT 4.0 OptionPack 4.0 ServicePack 6.0 IIS 4.0

Hope someone can help
