Just a basic question but i can&#039t figure it out (yea, stupid me.)

How do you reset the primary key to 0 in access. If you delete fields, it still might strat the database at like 32 or so. Alos, is there any way of keeping it tin the right order, so that if i delete #46 the numbers won&#039t go "44, 45, 47, 48"?

As far as I know you can&#039t reset an autonumber field in Access. The way to do it is to create a new copy of the table and do some renaming.

You reset the autonumber fields by &#039compacting&#039 your database. HOWEVER, if there are any values in that column (ie, 45, 46) then the number would reset and next value would be 46.
