    Default autonumber in SQL Server

    Is there an Autonumber datatype in SQL Server? I need a number that increments itself automatically in a field and I am using SQL Server 7.0. Please HELP!!!

    Well, I am not sure about in SQL 7.0 but hopefully it&#039s more better implemented then in SQL 6.5 In SQL 6.5 what you do is when you create the table you create a field called "ID" or whatever you want to call it. Then click on the advanced options and make that feild the Identity. Thats it.
