Default Creating "Unedit-able" Text Boxes in Forms

    Is there a way to fill a text box (in a form) with text, and set a parameter so that users could not edit the text box&#039s contents?
Something along the lines of

<input type=text value="Hi There!" user_access=forbidden>

would do nicely. However, "user_access" is not any parameter that I&#039ve ever heard of.

Thanks in advance,

J Scott

    I believe you can do this with IE 4.0 and up by using the tag: READONLY

<INPUT TYPE="TEXT" NAME="txtName" VALUE="Ed" READONLY>

    <input type="text" name="txtname" value="ed" onFocus="this.blur()">
This little Javascript will do.
