Default DSN's

    I need to create a system DSN on the webserver which points to an sql server which is on the same network, but in a different Domain. Is this possible? Cause I cant seem to find the SQL Server from the Web Server. The version of SQL Server I am using is 2000.

Thanks for any help....

Jason Whelan

    don&#039t do it via DSN - use a dsn-less connectionstring. if the sqlserver is on the same network, you can use its name to connect to it

"provider=SQLOLEDB;server=(servername);u id=username;pwd=password"

OLEDB is faster and more stable than using DSNs

jason
