Default Please help

    Hello,

I need to give users the option to export asp file to excel format. I am unclear as to which page the coding should go for this functionality. This is what I have...I have a search form which when submit, goes to a page with the result. On that same page (result page), I want a link that says "Download as Excel". When this button is clicked, I want the save/open box to appear. Do I put the coding on the result page or a separate page? Please help, I need this immediately. Thanks.

    You can create a new page. Basically save your results page as a another page and add the following code at the top.

response.ContentType = "application/"
response.AddHeader "content-disposition", "inline; filename="yourfile.xls"

Change yourfile.xls to whatever you want the default name to be.
