The two values you are comparing are not of the same type. For example, you can't compare a date to an integer without first making some kind of conversion. What exactly is the comparison you are making?
Cheers Casey
So does that mean i should look at the database design - eg one field a string and the other an integer. Or is it something in my code?
hope you reply cos i really dont know this...
I'm in UK so for me its Friday night now, can maybe check again in 15 hours
cheers in advance
First look at the database design and see if the two things you are comparing are the same type. If they are, then look at your code. Make sure you spelled the variable names correctly. I had a similar problem last week... I was comparing two numbers, but I kept getting a type mismatch error. Someone told me to use the CInt(variable-or-expression) function like this :

if (CInt(expression_1) = CInt(expression_2)) then...

If you are comparing numbers, try this. Otherwise, see if anyone can give you something similar. Hope this helps!
