I&#039ve been working on an ASP-based roleplaying site, with several character-centric customizations. Players can have more than 1 character, normally with 1 per browser window. I used session variables to store the current character ID (this is a low-traffic site), and as long as people open IE from the Quick Launch bar or by double clicking the icon on their desktop this works fine - you can change characters, and one session doesn&#039t affect another. However, if a user hits ctrl-n to create a new browser window that new window remains part of the same session - so if the player changes character in one window, the stored ID in the other window will have changed, giving the appearance of incorrect data. Is there a way around this?
