    I&#039m trying to create a login screeen which will search a Passwords table in an Access97 DB, I&#039m getting this:<BR><BR>Response object error &#039ASP 0156 : 80004005&#039<BR><BR>Header Error<BR><BR>/TestRB/Login.asp, line 45<BR><BR>The HTTP headers are already written to the client browser. Any HTTP header modifications must be made before writing page content<BR><BR>I don&#039t know what the hell it means but it is driving me mad, I&#039m using the source code that the good people on this site have supplied, Unfornately I can&#039t remember the URL

    It means you are trying to do something with the response object after you have written something out to the browser response.redirect. I bet that is probobly it.<BR><BR>Example of how to get the error...<BR><BR>response.write "Im about to display an error after this"<BR>response.redirect "IgoterroredbeforeIcouldredirect.asp"<BR><BR>y ou need to make sure that you dont response.redirect after any response.write or html<BR><BR>Another way you can do it is add response.buffer=true to the top of your page<BR>This will make sure that nothing gets written to the screen until the whole script finishes. Thus allowing the response object to do its thing if needed.
