    please tell me how the datetime field in sql must be formatted<BR>is it MMDDYYYYHHmm ?<BR>where the lower case m&#039s are minutes and the big ones are months?<BR>please help me, i am trying to insert this information to a datetime field from an ASP form and it wont work.<BR><BR>thanks

    The default display format for dates is "Mon dd yyyy hh:mmAM" (or PM) such as " Aug 15 2000 08:50AM" <BR>

    Default thanks, but one more question...

    does that mean i can enter a string into a datetime field like so... <BR>"12041989" and if I want to include the time I can do it like this...<BR>"12041989 12:00AM"
