Default c:inetpubwwwroot -- A Question

Can someone please tell me about the C:inetpubwwwroot directory when one sets up a web-application. I typically use another directory like c:project1project1_local to store my ASP pages, Global.ASA and so on.

The question I have is how are the two directories related and how are they different.

Thanks,

Vipul

This directory is your internet root directory.Whenever you release your application to the web. This is the directory where the changes are reflected. The same changes can be seen in your project_local folder.

When someone access your page. they are infact looking at this inetpub directory.

So, this is the physical path in your system mapping to the internet.

Hope, this explanation makes sense.
