Two ways: Raise your middle finger to Nutscrape users, or wirte some browser detect code.

Nutscrape handles font sizes and pixel widths different than any other browser. You would think that 45 pixels wide and Arial Font size 11 would be standard but NOOOO!!!! Nutscrape has to go and say "HEY! I don't care about these standard values that everyone else uses. Screw the W3c! I'll make my own HTML specification! On top of that, I'll make it look like Microsoft is the one doing all the crappy code!!!"
Its a sad truth that we've all had to come to terms with.
Netcape sets the width correctly but has different defaults for cellpadding, and cellspacing. Try setting those values explicitly.

As for fonts. There are some minor differences between Netscape and IE when displaying CSS fonts. Then again there are some differences between IE for Mac and IE for PC. The Mac version of IE shows them correctly.
