Default Proper Form?

For fields in my database, I am converting null values into the word "none"

Is this proper form or no? Should I be doing something else?

(I am not doing this profesionally, but someone who follows up what I&#039m doing might).

Sounds okay to me. It is completely up to you. As long as you put sufficient comments in the script so that the next guy can understand why you used "none".
