Default Pop up help file in frames

I have developed a help file which I have put in bottom half of a window with a close button in the top half (using frames). The window is a small pop-up called from a page when help is needed. How can I link to the frame file but jump to an anchor in the bottom window? eg This doesn&#039t work! Am I asking the impossible? I wanted to access the help file at different points and for the relevant information to be presented at the top. Please has anyone done anything similar and can help me??

one way would be to have your frameset be generated dynamically.

the link in your main window would have to call a cgi script or an asp or something and pass it some indication of the anchor you want to go to.

the cgi would then spit back a frameset page with the proper URL in the lower FRAME SRC.
