I am changing a field in a database in my Session_OnEnd. If I use the "Session.Abandon" everything works great. If the user end the session my simply closing their browser, I get a "The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot open the file &#039(unknown)&#039." error. Anyone know if there is an issue with opening a connection to a database after a session times out?

Sorry for the lengthy post, but after about 10 hours of work on this, I must say, "I Just Don&#039t Get It!".

Here&#039s my Session_OnEnd (I have writen any possible errors to a file):
======================================== =========================
Sub Session_OnEnd
on error resume next

Application.Lock

Set MyFileObject=Server.CreateObject("Scripting.FileSy stemObject")
Set MyTextFile = MyFileObject.CreateTextFile("e:virtualhostsmystuff wwwse_" & session.sessionID & ".TXT")

Application("WhosOn") = Application("WhosOn") - 1

MyTextFile.WriteLine("WhosOn = " & Application("WhosOn"))
MyTextFile.WriteLine("This is for session = *" & session.sessionID & "*" & chr(13))

Dim objConn
Set objConn = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")
MyTextFile.WriteLine("Set objConn = *" & Err.Description & "*")

objConn.Open "DSN=MYSTUFF"
MyTextFile.WriteLine("objConn.Open = *" & Err.Description & "*")

Dim objRS
Set objRS = objConn.Execute("UPDATE Users SET Users.USessionID = 0 WHERE (((Users.UID)=16));")
MyTextFile.WriteLine("Set objRS = *" & Err.Description & "*")

&#039objRS.Close
&#039objConn.Close
set objRS=nothing
MyTextFile.WriteLine("objRS=nothing = *" & Err.Description & "*")

set objConn=nothing
MyTextFile.WriteLine("objConn=nothing = *" & Err.Description & "*")

MyTextFile.Close
Application.UnLock

End Sub
=========================================== ======================

Here&#039s the resulting output error file:

WhosOn = 2
This is for session = *713349895*
Set objConn = **
objConn.Open = *[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access 97 Driver] The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot open the file &#039(unknown)&#039.
