    Default Accessing network connections

    I have a drive mapped to another machine on our network and I want the server to read files off of it, but whenever I try to get the files with the file system object, the create object fails. Do I need to change IIS metabase settings? Is there a way around this or do I have to manually copy the folders?

    It all has to do with Authentication, Impersonation and Delegation!<BR><BR>When IIS creates the FileSystemobject and tries to read a file on ANOTHER network server, the other network server cannot authenticate IIS, because IIS using a local Account (probably the IUSR_MachineName account), not a domain account. Hence, the object fails.<BR><BR>The following article may help resolve your problem:<BR><BR>
