Why does this give me a "Type Mismatch"?

strSQL = "SELECT count(*) as cntrec FROM "& strTable &" WHERE "& strTable &".field like &#039%"& strClient &"%&#039"

intresult = objrs("cntrec")
If intresult > 0 Then
Response.Write ("greater then 0")
End If

    This has come up numerous times in the last couple of weeks. Just type your result variable to an integer (CInt) or long (CLng) and it&#039ll work fine.

intresult = CLng(objrs("cntrec"))
