    JScript is Microsoft&#039s version of JavaScript, which was originally created by the NetScape people (or so I&#039ve heard). The only real differences that I can think of would be because of the way they are used. JScript is usually used in server-side scripting, i.e. ASP (because ASP is Microsoft, you might as well use a Microsoft language), which has various Objects specifically for server-side, whereas JavaScript is chiefly used in client-side HTML pages, where some viewers may use NetScape or browsers besides IE.
