How on earth do I trace back the name of a hyperlink that directed me to the page am now using? I have tried the Request.servervariables(http_referer) but it just gives me back the path to the redirecting asp page. I would like to use the name of this hyperlink in querying a SQL server database.
NOTE: The hyperlinks are being generated dynamically from the same database.
Heeeiipp!!!

I would give each hyperlink an identifier

<a href="somepage.asp?hyp=1">Some text</a>
<a href="somepage.asp?hyp=2">Some text</a>

You could use the recordid that it came from since they are being generated dynamically then check the request.querystring("hyp") to see which link was used
