Default Browser cache and back button

Anyone know how to stop a browser from caching previous pages so that when a user hits a back button, the browser makes a call to the web server again?? And not necessarily through ASP? I have tried the following:

<meta http-equiv=pragma content=no cache> etc...

According to documentation, this should not allow the browser to cache a page in the first place, however it does not seem to work. Any ideas from anyone??

Or is it maybe the history I need to restrict.

Thanks in advance

    Sham,

Just something to think about. Do you have a firewall in place that could be doing the caching, and not letting your browser
get back to the webserver?

Thanks,

-rg

The only solution I know that works it to put the following code in at the top of your asp-coding:

<% Response.Expires=-20 %>

Mind that you put the minus-sign in.

Hope this helps.

BR
Marco Kooreman
