I would be very surprised if you can find a way to do this, at least directly. The only two file formats available for a recordset.save are atgf (a proprietary ms format) and xml. Neither of these are raw binaries, which you need for the pictures.<BR><BR>What you are (apparently) trying to do is not generally recommended; why store the pix in a database and then print them out into files instead of just saving them in files in the first place and storing the addresses in the database?
OH! i'm sorry if i did not make myself clear. What I want to do IS to save the files to disk then to store the path in the database. All the books I have are telling me different things and everything i've tried hasn't worked. thanks<BR><BR>alex
Hi, Alex. If you're using Access, there's a link (or something like that) datatype that lets you put urls into the data field. If not, you'll have to pick up the value entered and do an open file on the selected value. It (seems to me) would be tough to do this on one page, if that's what you have in mind, but maybe some of the folks that know more about rendering pages could correct me.<BR><BR>Good Luck!<BR>Derek
